Making A Background
I accidentally created this background today when playing around with the Gaussian blur settings in photoshop. I love it when you get something so great out of an accident.
History Time
In 1945, Percy Spencer was experimenting with a new vacuum tube called a magnetron while doing research for the Raytheon Corporation. He was intrigued when the candy bar in his pocket began to melt, so he tried another experiment with popcorn. When it began to pop, Spencer immediately saw the potential in this revolutionary process. In 1947, Raytheon built the first microwave oven, the Radarange, which weighed 750 pounds, was 51/2 feet tall, and cost about $5,000. When the Radarange first became available for home use in the early 1950s, its bulky size and expensive price tag made it unpopular with consumers. But in 1967, a much more popular 100-volt, countertop version was introduced at a price of $495.
The background really does compliment thee colorful speakers, gotta love “happy accidents”
Indeed. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice background! Did you make this using radial gradient and applying a Gaussian blur? or is something else
I used the eliptical marquee tool to make a white oval shape on a black background, then I ramped up the Gaussian blur really high untill I got the cool choppy pattern. It is great how little effort it is. I tried this again with a navy blue background and a small grey sphere and it came out even better, also I placed it to the left of the image. I will definitely be experimenting with this technique in the future!e
I may be bias but your ideas are very cool and creative! Well done and keep up the great work. Xx
Lol thanks.
