Fictitious Products
Currently, I am hard at work…. dreaming up fictitious products and creating them in 3D. This is my latest product. What is the product you ask? I have not decided yet but my best ideas are wireless router or speaker.
- Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated.
Love all your work, very inspiring. This looks very much like high tech personal speaker.
I greatly appreciate the kind words. I was attempting to model a speaker but I think it also looks like a router or home hub gadget. The reason I am looking to find a different purpose for it is because I had fun designing it and want another stab at modelling a speaker. Thank you for taking the time to comment, come back again sometime!
I kind of imagine the tiniest movie projector ever, like if someone wanted to not have a bulky tv they’d have something like that. It’s inconspicuous and simple. Could also be a baby monitor, I think.
All good ideas that I would not have thought of. Thank you for weighing in, I appreciate it a lot.
The environment map indicates to me that the circular center is made of a glass like material. It is a dashboard mounted gps. The screen would display dynamic longitude and latitude coordinates. The small buttons control zooming and satellite communications. The glass screen would power a solar battery.
Hmmm, that is a,very innovative idea. I will definitely think about that idea. I could use HDRI images to bake onto the glass bit so it will look like what you described. Thanks for weighing in.
It makes me think of an optical sensor, personally, something with a wide viewing area. But with a casing and stand like that, it’s designed to be set in place and then not moved while in use. With a small speaker and microphone inside the housing, I could see it being a human – computer interface device, something akin to the black panels and red orb used to represent HAL-9000.
Ideally I am looking for more of a home product as I am planning to create a fake home interior website. As much as I like the idea, I think I will go for something a little more conventional like a router. Thank you so much for sharing your opinion, I greatly appreciate it. Come back again Shannae.
I’m a jewelry designer who always has lighting issues. So, I guess I just REALLY want it to be some super spotlight that will illuminate my designs with the perfect amount of natural light.
Are you working with a 3D program?
No. I just come up with designs in my head and put them together piece by piece. I would like to learn how to design that way at some point.
I would recommend That you try Blender because it is free. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube to get you started.
